报告主要内容:The deformation performance of stone columns encased with geotextile reinforcement was studied. Under vertical loads, an axial compression of stone column usually generates accompanying by a radial expansion near the column top portion. Corresponding to this deformation characteristic, an analytical method was proposed to predict deformation behaviors of a single geotextile encased stone column at any depth below the top plane of the column. In the method, the confining stress provided by the surrounding soil was analyzed from an analogy to the passive earth pressure in the soil. The shear stress at the interface of encased stone column and the surrounding soil was also taken into account. A series of parametric analyses were performed to observe the influence of geotextile encasement, stress concentration ratio, column spacing, and column diameter on deformation behaviors of a single encased stone column.
